Pre-Cleanse:

Preparing your body will not only affect how you feel and respond to your Karma Cleanse, but will also play a large role in sustaining its benefits. It’s best to eat a clean, simple diet at least three days prior to the Cleanse. Wean yourself off caffeine, alcohol, sugar and white flour. This may help with any detox symptoms you may experience. We recommend you eat a whole foods diet. Avoid processed foods and refined starches.  Stick with raw fruits and vegetables, fresh salads and limited amounts of unprocessed grains like quinoa, millet or brown rice. Pass on the red meat and limit animal protein to hormone/antibiotic free chicken and fresh fish. Broths and vegetable based soups are great, as are fruit/vegetable smoothies. It is important to hydrate your body with pure filtered water. Start your mornings with warm water and a squeeze of lemon. This helps balance your pH level and sets the tone for the day. Green tea is also a good option. Many people order our Green with Envy  or Straight Up Greens to get a jump-start on healthy hydration.

Post-Cleanse:

Ok, so you gave your body a well deserved break and got back on track. Maybe you shed a few pounds. Maybe you’re sporting that dewy glow. Now what? Truth is, Cleansing is really the easy part, staying in that “I feel amazing” zone can prove a bit more challenging. However, what you do post Cleanse can make or break your results.

Break your fast with a small amount of fruit and ideally a green juice. For lunch enjoy a fresh salad loaded with raw fresh vegetables.  Diner can be be steamed vegetables and a small amount of  unprocessed whole grains. Your system needs time to adjust to the reintroduction of food so make wise choices and most importantly keep your body hydrated. Our Green With Envy and Straight Up Greens transition/lifestyle options are a great way to transition out of your Cleanse.
